Robert Burcher is a local author, photographer and naturalist who will share his fascination with the life of John Muir who was a Scottish born American who made his way to Trout Hollow, Meaford in 1850. Robert will trace Muir's journey and discuss the impact of his Canadian experience on his work as a journalist, environmental advocate and visionary. 

Muir was instrumental in the development of the American National Parks and the Sierra Club. 

Robert shares how he retraced Muir's travels into Upper Canada making his way to Meaford. 

Join us for this engaging time travel when an American seeks refuge in our area.
