Big Girls Don't Cry

Susan Swan presents her memoir on defying the expectations of what it means to be a woman, mother and writer. She examines the expectations of women of her generation and beyond. She explores the way women are expected not to take up space in the world. 

In addition to being a prolific author she is also a Professor Emeritus at York University. She co-founded the Carol Shields Prize for Fiction and received an Order of Canada in 2023.

Please remember to bring your PROBUS badge and your own refreshment as we are seeking  volunteers to handle the refreshments.
