Book Club One has 15 members and no openings at present. While not everyone attends each meeting, we find that our discussions work effectively with this limit. We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month, Sept through June. Winter sessions are at 1 pm, and when daylight saving is active we meet at 7 pm, rotating book selection and member homes. Members propose books at our June meeting, and 10 are selected for the season’s study. Author biography, themes, character development, plot, reference to classic myth or legend, significance of name (i.e. Adam = 1st man), relevance to past or current society or other cultural norms – we enjoy wide-ranging explorations and wine is our beverage of choice.
